Science is for everyone! But, since, not everyone feels that way, we try to make fun, understandable videos to help people access science and science related content.

We aim to keep the videos short and entertaining, while maintaining a high level of scientific accuracy. That’s why it’s so important that we share the sources we used to research each video - science is all about proof, so we can’t ask you to just take our word for it!

History

Third Sock from the Sun was created in 2021 by Sarah Bannister, a theatre-trained science communicator. After winning Science Slam Canada’s 2020 Grand Slam with a sock puppet video all about plastic (—>watch here<—), she decided to expand on the idea, and Third Sock was born.
